mr. Yannick (van der Drift) founded Van der Drift in 2022 with the aim of providing legal assistance in an accessible, clear and good way. The threshold at Van der Drift is low and the thoughtfulness is high. Clients can always call, email and/or Whatsap with a question and get a response within a day.

Generalist

Van der Drift is a legal generalist, which means that he does not specialise in just one area of law. mr. Van der Drift was educated in private law/civil law and has mainly focused on contract law, labour law, corporate law and privacy law. These areas of law have much in common. Because of Van der Drift's generalist character, it is possible to also oversee possible consequences in other areas of law.

About mr. van der Drift

In 2019, Yannick graduated cum laude from the Master's degree in Private Law at the University of Amsterdam. He then completed an internship with distinction at Baker McKenzie, one of the largest law firms in the world. After that Yannick worked for 2.5 years as a legal advisor at The Legal Company in Amstelveen. There he noticed how rewarding it is to provide legal assistance to SMEs.

Yannick combines his work with his sporting career as a top hockey player. He was allowed to play for all national youth selections. In the process, Yannick became Dutch champion with his club HC Bloemendaal three times and European champion for club teams (EHL) three times. With the Hockey 5 team he became European and World Champion, respectively in 2022 (Poland) and in 2024 (Oman). In the summer of 2022, he made the move to Real Club de Polo in Barcelona.
